The Grow with Google event, held at the Medford Library on October 29, 2019, was featured in Goodwill Industries International’s (GII) Weekly Digest in the first week of December.
#GrowwithGoogle is an initiative that draws on Google’s 20-year history of building products, platforms, and services that help people and businesses grow. The event attracted 57 participants, who used laptops and tablets for hands-on Google tools training for job search and business applications.
Grow with Google instructor, Corissa Saint Laurent, came down from Portland to lead the class.
The event kicked off Southern Oregon Goodwill’s launch of its Digital Skills program. Classes available to students range from Intro to Computers and Internet Basics to Microsoft Word and Google-applied Digital Skills in Goodwill Learning Labs in Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, and Klamath counties.
