GoodWorks

Job Training & Advancement Programs
Our GoodWorks program is powered by donations and purchases at Southern Oregon Goodwill. GoodWorks provides paid, on-the-job training and support services for individuals with barriers to employment, as well as career path opportunities for the 300+ employees served by Southern Oregon Goodwill.

About the Programs
Our ambition for all GoodWorks graduates: when you graduate, you’re employed.
This on-the-job training program equips participants with tools and skills to become employed, and also supports them in their professional and personal goals.
Graduates are learning more than “technical skills” through GoodWorks, although those are essential, too — they’re learning life skills like adapting to change, persevering through challenges, and growing their independence.
Even after a graduate gets hired, we continue to check-in and be a resource.

“Through the GoodWorks internship and the support I’ve received from my coaches and guides, I’ve gained confidence in myself and learned how to work through things when life gets tough. Before, I would have given up or quit. Now, I can’t wait to continue coming to work and I have hope for achieving my goals.”
– Anna, GoodWorks Intern Graduate
GoodWorks Intern Program
The Intern Program is an eight-week, paid internship that provides training, coaching support, and on-the-job experience in a Southern Oregon Goodwill location.
Upon successful completion of the intern program, graduates have the opportunity to become employed with Southern Oregon Goodwill, or our GoodWorks team will assist the intern in finding employment with a community employer.

GoodWorks Advancement Program
The Advancement Program is available to all of Southern Oregon Goodwill’s 300 employees.
Through the work of our coaches, we provide development plans to support personal, financial, educational, and professional goals.
In addition to coaching and growth planning at the Goodwill Learning Labs, tuition assistance and access to self-sufficiency resources round-out this program that’s at the heart of our mission.
