Southern Oregon Goodwill® in Ashland is expanding in 2024!
We are excited to break ground at our new home on Jefferson Ave in south Ashland, just a few short blocks from our current location on Tolman Creek Road. Construction has officially begun, and we aim to open the new all-in-one retail store, donation center, and Job Connection Center later this year.
We enjoyed a crisp, sunny morning with the Ashland staff, our partners, and community members to celebrate the start of a project that’s been in the works for many months. We’re grateful for the guidance and support of our Board, as well as the team from Adroit Construction, which is managing the project.

About the Ashland Expansion
The current Ashland retail store, which opened in 1990, has nine parking spaces available for shoppers and limited room for processing donations and staff breaks. In its first year, it served 48,000 customers and processed 27,000 donations. The store now serves nearly 100,000 customers each year — meaning it’s time for more space!

What’s in Store at the New Location
The new building design accommodates a double-sized sales floor, 40 parking spaces for shoppers, and a quadruple-sized backroom and donation processing area — giving the Ashland team ample space to do their work.
When complete, the building will also be home to the sixth Job Connection Center in Southern Oregon and Northern California, where community members can access services to gain employment quickly and advance their careers.
Every donation and purchase at Southern Oregon Goodwill helps us fulfill our mission of providing vocational training and job placement services to people with barriers to employment.
The icing on the cake during our groundbreaking ceremony on March 13 was Tiffany’s birthday! Tiffany is the store manager in Ashland and has been with Southern Oregon Goodwill since 2011. We’re excited to cut the ribbon with her and the Ashland team later this year!
