Goodwill® is a network of 161 community-based and independent organizations. Although it’s not in our name, Southern Oregon Goodwill’s region includes Siskiyou and Del Norte counties in CA. We are aligning efforts for fire relief in Northern California with other Goodwill member organizations in CA.
Each Goodwill is assisting the fire survivors in different ways from fundraisers to financial donations to fire relief for affected communities.
Here’s how you can help locally:
Southern Oregon Goodwill will donate 100% of Round Up contributions made from Nov. 19 to Nov. 30 in our stores in Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties to a community fund for NorCal Wildfire Relief, North Valley Community Foundation, www.nvcf.org. Ask in the store how you can round up your purchase or make a single donation transaction.
For folks who have relocated to Southern Oregon because of the Camp Fire and need immediate help attaining clothing, shoes, or blankets, please call 541-772-3300 and ask for Sandy for details. This phone line is manned weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
We encourage community members to also follow our website and Facebook page for the most accurate and updated information on SO Goodwill’s response to Northern California wildfire relief. Visit www.calfund.org/norcal-wildfire-relief/ for more ways to contribute directly.
Thank you to donors and shoppers who have called asking how you can help.
