Poverty Simulation in Klamath Falls

A poverty simulation presented by Southern Oregon Goodwill Industries Oct. 18 at the Klamath Falls Shilo Inn Convention Center gave service providers and leaders from across Klamath County a look at what it takes for a low-income family to survive a month.

Herald and News reporter Courtney Anderson observed, talked to participants and wrote this excellent story, accompanied by photos by Kevin N. Hume. The above photo from the Herald and News shows Sandra Bettencourt, Carolyn Osmanski, Stacie Wentling and Joe Waggener discussing the situation they face portraying the Morris family during the simulation.
