People don’t agree on whether to call them ugly or just tacky, but there is no doubt holiday sweaters can make the season’s parties and gatherings more festive.
Southern Oregon Goodwill’s Marketing Director, Julie Fletcher, recently appeared on local television news casts to show the wide selection of the original sweaters from the 80’s and 90’s that started the Ugly Sweater party craze about 20 years later.
Pamela Gibson owner of Sweetbriar Events in Ashland Oregon created sweaters, new “packaging” for the little black dress, and elaborate hats and headpieces using a glue gun and supplies from Goodwill. She joined Julie on air with Danielle Craig, anchor of the KDRV NewsWatch 12 at 11 a.m. newscast on Monday, December 14 to showcase her creative genius.
Thank you Danielle for the fun segment and to Pamela Gibson and Sweetbriar Events for hours of work and inspiration!
