Event participants worked through Google Docs and Sheets for help in business, job searching, and personal tasks

SO Goodwill® Digital Skills Program Launches

Southern Oregon Goodwill partnered with Google to hold a free #GrowwithGoogle digital skills training event in Medford on Tuesday, October 29. Hosted at the Jackson County Library Medford branch due to the class size, 57 participants used laptops and tablets for hands-on Google tools training for job search and business applications.

Grow with Google instructor, Corissa Saint Laurent, flew in from Portland for this special event which also served as Goodwill’s kick-off for the new Digital Skills program now available Goodwill Learning Labs in Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, and Klamath counties.

“We’re excited to offer opportunities for anyone who wants to learn digital skills, which creates a broader toolset for the ever-changing job market,” said Erin Young, Vice President of Workforce Development with Southern Oregon Goodwill.

The event was made possible with underwriting support from Signature Sponsor, Hart Insurance Agency, and event sponsor, CORE Business Services and Kelley Imaging Systems.

Goodwill’s current calendars of Digital Skills classes in Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties are posted online.
