Shae Johns

Shae Johns CEO SO GoodwillPresident/CEO

Shae is the President and CEO of Southern Oregon Goodwill, a role she has held since November 2014. Shae was born in West Virginia but considers herself a native Oregonian, having attended school in the Rogue Valley from elementary through high school. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Oregon University and later received a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. Shae and her husband Chris made the Rogue Valley home in 2009, where they are raising their two children, a girl and a boy. Shae returned to Goodwill in 2011 as the Director of Mission Services and was elevated to President/CEO three years later. She is passionate about creating an inclusive community that values opportunities for all its citizens.

Shae volunteers many hours locally in the Rogue Valley by coaching youth sports, serving as a club leader for 4H, and serving as former board president for the Addictions Recovery Center. In 2020, she will join the board for the Medford/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

A Certified Executive with Goodwill Industries International, Shae joined the Goodwill Executive Council in 2017 and serves as the Vice-Chair of the council and Chair of the Strategic Directions Taskforce.  She is also a member of the board for Goodwill Industries International.

Shae has a lifetime love of equestrian sports and spends as much free time as possible with her family at their rural ranch with horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and a growing vegetable garden.
