Workforce development director hired

David FrickeGrants Pass, OR — Southern Oregon Goodwill® Industries has hired David Fricke as Director of Workforce Development for Josephine County. He oversees all Goodwill’s workforce development programs and services in Josephine County.

Fricke started his career in employment and workforce development in 1991. He came to Goodwill from the Umpqua Valley disAbilities Network in Roseburg, where he was the executive director for 11 years. During his time at UVdN, Fricke served on the Executive Committee of Oregon State Independent Living Council, the Aging and Disabilities Resource Connection Steering Committee and the State Special Transportation Advisory Committee, amongst numerous other affiliations specific to promoting community access and inclusion for seniors and persons with disabilities. Dave earned his bachelor’s degree from Southern Oregon State College, now Southern Oregon University, and did his post-bachelor’s education at the University of Oregon. He has two sons, ages 22 and 20, and loves the outdoors, music and doing volunteer work.
