Southern Oregon Goodwill® Job Connections prove valuable for job seekers
Seven centers offer free job search tools in four counties

Medford, OR — Southern Oregon Goodwill’s network of Job Connections served 1,639 people in 2016, linking 94 with new jobs.

Southern Oregon Goodwill operates seven Job Connection centers in Ashland, Medford, White City, Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, Roseburg and Sutherlin. During 2016, Job Connections opened inside the same building as Goodwill stores in Klamath Falls, Roseburg and White City. A stand-alone Job Connection opened in Ashland to provide workforce development services to that community.

Job Connection centers are community resource centers connecting job seekers with local employers. They offer free job searches and referrals, personalized guidance for people who are looking for work, and access to computers, a phone, fax and copier. The centers also host job fairs and networking opportunities with local employers.

Each Goodwill Job Connection is staffed by Goodwill Employment Specialists who offer individualized help with the job search and application process. Job seekers can set up email accounts, polish their interview skills, and get assistance preparing and printing resumes and cover letters. Goodwill staff provide case management style service offering referrals to public agencies or social services to assist job seekers with housing, health care or other needs.
