Southern Oregon Goodwill - A Smart Investment In Our Community!

For 100 years, Goodwill has embodied the spirit of “a hand up, not a hand-out.”

One of the most important things we can do for our community is to create a strong workforce.  Every person removed from the welfare rolls is one less person dependent on a state subsidy. Every person who can live independently is one more person who is contributing—paying taxes, purchasing goods and services, strengthening our economy.

Last year, we served over 3,600 people in southern Oregon and northern California. These are people who have some kind of barrier to employment, whether that barrier is a disability, or the lack of skills and experience needed to enter the workforce. By enabling thousands of people to work, and work toward independence, Southern Oregon Goodwill creates a multi-million dollar positive economic impact on our region’s economy.

At the same time, we are helping people who might not have a chance anywhere else. It’s a common sense approach, based in compassion: find each person’s unique ability, and find the kind of work that will enable them to succeed and grow. We work with each person individually, utilizing our vast experience to craft the best solution, one-by-one.

Every dollar contributed to Goodwill means:

  • Increased capacity to serve those in need of employment and job training.

  • A stronger, more able workforce, resulting in less reliance on government support and more economic strength for our community.

  • Goodwill is less dependent on retail thrift sales and government reimbursement as it plans for future growth.

Your financial contribution to Southern Oregon Goodwill is an investment that makes our whole community stronger!
