Fast Track

 

Fast Track  provides a 30-day program toward employment. It’s designed for people who have been unsuccessful in traditional job search activities. Included are:

  • Structured Job Club

  • Personal goal-setting, conflict management, esteem-building

  • Budgeting, nutrition, Dress for Success

  • Transportation to and from potential employers

  • Follow-up support on job search activities and in unsubsidized employment

 

Supported Work

 

This program is recommended for individuals with no work history, those who have not worked for an extended period, or who have had successive short unsuccessful attempts at employment. The program includes:

  • 30-day assessment to examine barriers in a work setting

  • 3 months work experience in a supportive environment, with the outcome of removing barriers and developing effective work skills

  • 2 months of job search activities, through both classes and one-on-one sessions

  • Follow-up support in unsubsidized employment

 

Strategies for Success

 

This innovative program provides an intensive 60-day in-home assessment and work experience for families who lack the skills necessary to balance the demands of work and home. After a one-week observation and assessment period, an action plan is created for the entire family which focuses on enabling the head of the household to find employment. The Strategies  assessment examines each of the following :

  • Personal/Social: relationships, health care, grooming, hygiene, parenting skills

  • Domestic: housing, meal planning, preparation, purchasing, household maintenance, household safety

  • Financial:  budgeting, personal banking, credit & debit

  • Community: support systems, emergency services

  • Work Readiness: day care/back-up day care, transportation, current driver’s license, fines, community networking, mental readiness, physical readiness, accommodations

After the assessment, a supported work experience, along with coordination of critical resources and referrals is provided. Strategies is recommended for individuals who have been unsuccessful in meeting JOBS requirements.
